The strong showings by LGBT candidates in last week’s election lead to this week’s trivia question:  What is the largest city in the country to have elected a lesbian as mayor?

Last week’s trivia question was:   When was the last time the off year election results in Virginia, New Jersey and New York City all went the same way AND in opposition to the party in the White House?

The answer?  1997.  All three elections went Republican — Jim Gilmore in Virginia, Christie Whitman in New Jersey and Rudy Giuliani in New York City.  And the fellow in the White House was a Democrat … Bill Clinton.
