This Week’s Trivia Question

The exciting news that the Political Junkie program is now being carried by Wisconsin Public Radio’s Ideas Network is the lead in to a Wisconsin-related trivia question this week:  Who was the last person to serve as both governor AND senator from Wisconsin and who ALSO ran for the House?

Submit your answer in the box below. We’ll pick a winner at random from the bunch. The winner will get a fabulous Political Junkie button.  And don’t forget to sign up for our Political Junkie newsletter. You’ll get all the latest from Team PJ every issue.

And we have two weeks’ worth of answers to our trivia questions.  The question from two weeks ago was:  What presidential candidate once held up a pie chart during a debate, and why do I giggle every time I think of it?

The answer is Dennis Kucinich.  And why does it make me giggle?  Because Kucinich did it in a RADIO debate!  He held up a pie chart in a radio debate!  It was in Iowa, in 2004, sponsored by NPR and hosted by our pal Neal Conan.

The randomly selected winner for this one is Andrew Conkling of Kalamazoo, Mich.

The other question, in last week’s episode:  When was the first presidential debate on the RADIO?  The answer is 1948, when Republicans Thomas Dewey and Harold Stassen debated just prior to the Oregon primary.

And our winner for that question is Kayla Michel of Dublin, Ohio.

Both Andrew and Kayla win the coveted Political Junkie button.
