The election we’ve long awaited/dreaded is almost here. President Donald Trump vs. former Vice President Joe Biden. Plus, control of the Senate. And so, we have TWO contests for you to enter.
The first: Predict the final Electoral Vote count. AND tell us who wins these key states:
ARIZONA
COLORADO
FLORIDA
GEORGIA
IOWA
MICHIGAN
MINNESOTA
NEVADA
NEW HAMPSHIRE
NORTH CAROLINA
OHIO
PENNSYLVANIA
WISCONSIN
Because of the high amount of absentee and mail ballots, we realize that we may not know all the results on Election Day. So, your guess should reflect the electoral vote as we know it on November 15th.
The second contest: The battle for the Senate. Predict not only the final makeup of the Senate, but who will win these key contests (incumbent or incumbent party listed first):
ALASKA: Dan Sullivan (R) vs. Al Gross (I)
COLORADO: Cory Gardner (R) vs. John Hickenlooper (D)
GEORGIA: David Perdue (R) vs. Jon Ossoff (D)
IOWA: Joni Ernst (R) vs. Theresa Greenfield (D)
KANSAS*: Roger Marshall (R) vs. Barbara Bollier (D)
KENTUCKY: Mitch McConnell (R) vs. Amy McGrath (D)
MAINE: Susan Collins (R) vs. Sara Gideon (D)
MICHIGAN: Gary Peters (D) vs. John James (R)
MINNESOTA: Tina Smith (D) vs. Jason Lewis (R)
MONTANA: Steve Daines (R) vs. Steve Bullock (D)
NORTH CAROLINA: Thom Tillis (R) vs. Cal Cunningham (D)
SOUTH CAROLINA: Lindsey Graham (R) vs. Jaime Harrison (D)
*open seat
The winner in each contest gets a Political Junkie t-shirt. Winner decided by earliest arrival.
Send your predictions to contest@krpoliticaljunkie.com. One guess per person. Good luck!
Has a candidate ever refused to concede defeat after the opponent reached 270?
No. But we’ve never had a president like Donald Trump before.
