This Week’s Trivia Question – 11/13/13

This was the trivia question that appeared in this week’s Political Junkie show:

Jimmy Carter’s grandson, Jason Carter — a state senator and a Democrat — announced last week that he will run for governor of Georgia next year. We already know that George P. Bush, grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, is running for Texas Land Commissioner next year.

The question is … Before young Carter and Bush, who was the last presidential grandchild to run for office?

Send your answer to ken@kenrudinpolitics.com. The randomly selected winner gets a fabulous (?) vintage Political Junkie button.

Last week’s question was … who was the last governor elected from two different parties? The answer: Fob James of Alabama — elected as a Democrat in 1978 and a Republican in 1994.

And the randomly selected winner to that one was Del Atwood, a judge of the Provincial Court and Family Court of Nova Scotia.
