Last week’s trivia question was:  Who was the last congressman forced to resign his seat over allegations of a stolen election?

The answer?  Richard Tonry of Louisiana.  Tonry, a freshman Democrat, won his seat in 1976, following the retirement of longtime incumbent F. Edward Hebert.  With accusations that fraudulent and illegal votes were cast on his behalf, Tonry resigned in May of 1977.
