It’s ScuttleButton Time!

The identity of both parties’ presidential nominees became a little clearer this week, after Donald Trump’s sweep and Hillary Clinton’s near-sweep in the five primaries at stake.  Less clear may be this week’s ScuttleButton puzzle.

(Model T Ford car) for President — It’s for Gerald Ford, not Bob Carr, from 1976.

Re-elect Senator Greenleaf (on a leaf) — Pennsylvania Republican state senator from 1986.

Column E/Save Hudson County — As if anyone could save this county in New Jersey.

Joe Arena for Congress 1980 — Lost the Republican primary in Maryland’s 2nd District that was won by Helen Bentley.

So, when you combine Car + Leaf + E + Arena, you kind of get …

Carly Fiorina.  The former running mate of Ted Cruz.

And the randomly-selected winner is … Elizabeth Carr of Port St Lucie, Fla.  Elizabeth wins the coveted Political Junkie button.
