How to Play
ScuttleButton, as you may know, is that weekly waste of time exercise where we post a vertical sequence of campaign buttons. Your job is to take one word (or concept) per button and add ’em up to arrive at a famous name or familiar expression. Guess the correct phrase and you could be the proud winner of the coveted Political Junkie button!
2 buttons: I Am For Hogg/He’ll Bring Home the Bacon, and I’m the Guy Who Put Pork On the Hog — One’s a campaign button from West Virginia, the other is not political. who knows what.
Conservative/Gary Rice/U.S. Congress — An Oklahoma Republican, he got clobbered twice by Rep. Mike Synar (D) in 1984 and 1986.
Chris Spirou Governor — The Democratic nominee in New Hampshire against Gov. John Sununu (R) in 1984.
Peace. The Not So Silent Spring — Anti-Vietnam War button, 1969-ish.
