Episode #297: Defending Her City

The city of Dayton, Ohio was one of those rocked by gun violence this year. Mayor Nan Whaley is on the Political Junkie talking about what needs to be done, what steps are being taken, and her unnecessary feud with President Trump, who made a difficult situation worse.

With the House now officially conducting an impeachment inquiry, Frank Bowman of the University of Missouri Law School talks on the differences between the situation faced by President Nixon 45 years ago and the one Trump is now up against.

And Tim Alberta of Politico magazine has written a defining book about how the GOP has abandoned its principles in order to stake out its loyalty to the president. It’s called “American Carnage: On the Front Lines of the Republican Civil War and the Rise of President Trump.
