Episode #153: A Nine Point Trump on the Richter Scale

The election is over and, in case you missed it, Donald Trump won. Lisa Desjardins of the PBS NewsHour and Greg Giroux of Bloomberg explain what happened, how it happened, and what’s next.

A more detailed conversation with Neal Conan follows which, before the edits, was mostly he and Ken saying “wow” to each other over and over.

Finally, with so many people unnerved by the election results, we chat with Sue Elias, a New York therapist, who has advice for those who still can’t believe what happened in Tuesday’s election.

  1. I absolutely love your honest opinions Ken and Neal and sharing your thoughts with the rest of us that are in shock and worried. Keep up the great work! ~~Audrey

  2. I’m disappointed, Ken, with your feeding into the “Trump should scare you” narrative. As a political veteran you should be telling people to stop acting silly. You used to be my favorite political commentator because I thought you were neutral. I guess I was wrong.

    • Robert, I appreciate your note. I had been scrupulously neutral throughout my entire professional life because, deep down, I truly had no favorites. I saw good and bad in every candidate. This year, I will tell you, I saw more bad than ever before. And I expressed it.
