The likelihood of President Trump not filling the Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg was always closer to none than slim. Whatever you think of the tactics of Mitch McConnell and others in the Senate GOP, Trump always had the power, and the right, to name a replacement. That is likely to happen within the next week.
