Last week’s question was: Before Neil Gorsuch — who received the confirmation votes of just three Democrats — what successful Supreme Court nominee received the fewest confirmation votes from one party’s senators?
The answer? Samuel Alito. When he was confirmed to the Court in 2006, on a vote of 58-42, only four Democrats voted for him: Byrd of West Virginia, Conrad of North Dakota, Johnson of South Dakota, and Nelson of Nebraska.
The randomly selected winner is Tom Heller of Albany, N.Y. Tom wins the coveted Political Junkie button.
