Contest: Who Will Be The First Cabinet Member To Leave?

Since Pete Hegseth and President Trump — as well as Attorney General Pam Bondi — insist that the Defense Secretary has done nothing wrong by using an unsecure chat to discuss war plans involving the Houthis (what about her emails??), there’s no reason why Hegseth should be the first Cabinet member to be kicked out.  Trump obviously has 1000% faith in his SecDef.  But that doesn’t mean it’s not time for the latest Political Junkie contest!

Memories of a would-be defense secretary from 1989.

So here’s the deal:  Tell us who you think will be the first member of the Trump Cabinet to leave.  Since speculation still centers on Hegseth, if you’re the first one to predict his departure, you will win a Political Junkie button.  But if you predict that someone else leaves first and you’re correct, the winner will get a pair of Political Junkie socks.

Send your prediction for the first Cabinet member to leave to contest@krpoliticaljunkie.com.  One entry per person, please.  Good luck!

  1. Well, I want it to be RFK, Jr. or Hegseth (cuz they should go) or Rubio (cuz they want him to go, and he’s not gonna have the influence he needs to stay) or Cabinet-level officers like Gabbard and Vought, who all seem likely of some new cosmic mis-step, but . . .
. . . Linda McMahon, because I think they may successfully kill the Department of Education, and then she doesn’t have a job.
Papa needs a new pair of socks!
