Here’s what to look for in the June 26 primaries (all poll closing times listed are EDT):
COLORADO (9 pm): Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) is term limited. Top Dem candidates are Rep. Jared Polis, who leads in most polls, and former state Treasurer Cary Kennedy. Also running are state Sen. Michael Johnston and Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne. The clear GOP frontrunner is state Treasurer Walker Stapleton.

MARYLAND (8 pm): In an overwhelming blue state, Gov. Larry Hogan (R) remains very popular. Leading the Dem pack to oppose him in November are two African-American candidates: ex-NAACP President Ben Jealous and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker III.

MISSISSIPPI (8 pm): The resignation of Sen. Thad Cochran (R) spared Mississippi Republicans from having to choose between Sen. Roger Wicker and conservative insurgent Chris McDaniel. Wicker is now home free in today’s primary while McDaniel is part of the November 5th free-for-all that includes Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) — appointed to succeed Cochran — and former Rep. Mike Espy (D).

NEW YORK (9 pm): The primary for governor, where Andrew Cuomo (D) is seeking a third term, isn’t until September. Today’s primaries are focused on the House. The big one is in the 11th CD, where Rep. Dan Donovan (R) is facing his predecessor, Michael Grimm, who left Congress and went to prison for fraud, tax evasion and perjury. In the 25th CD, left vacant by the March 16 death of longtime incumbent Louise Slaughter (D), state Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle is thought to be the Democratic favorite. The GOP nominee will be neurosurgeon Jim Maxwell.

OKLAHOMA (8 pm): Ten Republicans are vying to succeed Gov. Mary Fallin (R), who is term limited. Frontrunners are Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb, former Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, state Auditor Gary Jones and businessman Kevin Stitt. Assuming no one breaks 50%, the top two will meet in an Aug. 28 runoff. The clear Dem favorite is former state Attorney General Drew Edmondson.

UTAH (10 pm): Mitt Romney is the clear favorite to win his Republican primary contest with state Rep. Mike Kennedy and will be the likely successor to retiring seven-term GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch.

SOUTH CAROLINA RUNOFF (7 pm): Gov. Henry McMaster, whose campaign got a boost with a visit yesterday from President Trump, faces Marine veteran John Warren.
I’m not impressed with either of these Republican candidates. They both support the NRA, and extremely poor opinions on woman’s rights, sanctuary cities, and the list goes on.
